If you have talent, there is no shortage of institutions that will help you get
recognized. This 2-year-old organization is one of the many non-profit bodies
in town that profess helping the economically backward sections of the society
and bringing them at least onto the same plane of opportunity that the rest of
the populace lives on. Headed by A K Saxena, the Chief Medical Officer of Osmania
Hospital, it conducts programs and felicitates disadvantaged people with talent
in areas like drama, dance, music, education, games and sport.
This is one such program that will have the organization awarding people who have
excelled in various fields like medicine, music, dance and government service,
and those who have worked in various cultural departments, religion, etc. The
award function will be preceded by singing, mimicry, dances by the deaf and dumb,
a Bharatanatyam performance by Upasana Upadhyay (a 12-year-old child who performed
for Bill Clinton) on pots and more.
The event will have personalities from the film industry like Ramanaidu, Jayasudha
and Babu Mohan. The Minister for Law, Chandrasekhar, and the Minister for Sports,
T Sitaram, will be there. The Chief Justice Hanumathappa will be the chief guest.
