They transport you to the world of Malgudi days. Mallikarjun comes from a remote
village in Gulbarga district of Karnataka, and his attraction to the serene hills,
the plants, the trees and the rustic constructions shows in nearly all of the
works here. Rural beauty in water color is what Mallikarjun seems to specializes
in, and that comes out in nearly each of these landscapes.
Mallikarjun's paintings have been exhibited at the state and the national levels,
and the first ranker of Gulbarga University, both in B A and in M A, has won the
Shivashankarappa Patil Bhankur and the Dr. N Rudraiah gold medals for his works,
among several other honors and prizes. And the reason is amply demonstrated in
this 3rd solo exhibition of his, in our city.
The 26-year-old is a master of his craft, but an important thing that Mallikarjun
should perhaps take care of is the drafting of the invite. The class of his paintings
should reflect in all else, and then nothing can stop him. Please contact Mallikarjun
at the JNTU College of Fine Arts or at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
