The Hyderabad Cricket Association is organising the All-India Inter-State Senior Women's One-Day Knockout Cricket Tournament, from 12th to 18th November, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, ECIL grounds, NFC grounds and RRC grounds.
10 teams - Railways, Mumbai, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Bengal, Hyderabad, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra - are participating in this tournament. 4 teams, Mumbai, Punjab, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, play their first round matches on 12th November, while the other six teams have received first round byes and start their campaign directly with the quarterfinals on 14th November. Both the semifinals will be played on 16th November, at the RRC and Rajiv Gandhi stadiums. The finals will be played on 18th November at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium.
The Hyderabad team will be captained by Diana David, and looks strong even without the presence of their star Mitali Raj. The team is hopeful of performing well in this tournament, and will probably face stiff competition from Railways, Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
