Advantage Tennis Academy Sub-Junior Tennis Tournament

If you are reading this, you are perhaps to old to be participating in this. The next best thing, however, is a sheer delight.

The Advantage Tennis Academy is organising a Mini-Junior State Ranking Tennis Tournament on the 14th and 15th of October, at the St Thomas Sports Coaching Foundation.

The matches will be held in the categories of Under-10 singles for boys and girls, and Under-12 doubles, again for boys and girls. The registration fee for the events is Rs. 300 per entry for doubles and Rs. 150 per entry for singles.

Players can participate in the two singles events and also in the doubles event. Entries have to be sent to the venue between 3:00pm to 7:00pm, and the entries should reach the academy on or before 12th October, by 6pm. The date of birth certificate should be submitted along with with the entry form.

Finally, the rules and regulations for the matches:

AITA rules will be followed
No advantage system will be applicable
The Chief Referee’s decision will be final
No postponement of the matches will be entertained

Advantage Tennis Academy, formerly known as Sekhar Tennis Academy, was established in 1985, by D Chandra Sekhar, a NIS Tennis Coach, at IRISET Tennis Complex, Mettuguda (1986-1996), and Deccan Club, Marredpally (1986-1998), simultaneously. He later tied up with Family World Club (1993-1996) and the Railway Recreation Club Grounds, Secunderabad (1996-2001), to develop tennis at the grass-root level. Currently the Academy is situated at R K Nagar, Malkajgiri, and at St. Thomas Sports Coaching Foundation, Neredmet.

Advantage Tennis Academy has produced several players of the past like Susheel Narla, Ramakrishna, Meghana Paritala, Arjun Vijay Raghavan, D R C Kiron, D S Shravya, Aditya Naidu, Shashikant Reddy and Abhay Edlabadkar, and current players like Ekta Singh, M Nishant, A L Anirudh, Jitesh Swamy, Alekhya, Pranav Teja and C Laxman.

The Academy encourages players and youngsters by conducting tournaments on a regular basis, in and around Hyderabad. The primary objective of the Academy is to promote tennis from the grass-root level by introducing the game at the school stage. The Academy is endorsed by Prince Sporting Goods, and is the 1st in South-India to be endorse by this brand.
