REVIEW FOR A TOUT DE SUITE - FRENCH FILM BY BENOIT JACQUOT
The Hyderabad Film Club is screening a French film, 'A Tout De Suite' ('Right Now') at Sarathi Studios on the 3rd of March, at 6:30pm.
A Tout De Suite is a film about a tragic love affair involving a young woman who has the misfortune of falling for the wrong man. It was based on 'When I Was 19', a memoir of Elizabeth Fanger’s real life experiences. The film was directed by Benoit Jacquot who also directed 'The Disenchanted' (1990), 'A Single Girl' (1995), 'The School of Flesh' (1998), and 'Sade' (2000). A Tout De Suite stars Isild Le Besco, Ouassini Embarek and Nicolas Duvauchelle.
A Tout De Suite features Isild Le Besco as the shy and mercurial Lili, an attractive art student with an ordinary middle class existence and a hidden rebellious side. One day Lili goes to a bar and ends up taking home the exotic Bada (Ouassini Embarek). He tells her he’s a real estate seller, but there’s something about him that doesn’t quite seem right.
Soon after, she gets a distressing phone call from him, and discovers that he has participated in a bank robbery gone bad, in which a cashier was murdered. Bada is a wanted man now, and Lili joins him when he flees to Greece.
