Sri Parasari Seva Samstha, a women welfare organisation, in association with Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, is celebrating their 6th Anniversary on 7th September at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, Mini-Hall of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha in Chikkadpally.
The celebrations start with a carnatic vocal recital by Kasturi, followed by dances and singing programs by the students of the organisation.
The chief guest of this occassion is Abburi Chaya Devi, witer and poet, winner of Sahitya Akademy Award 2005. The other guest invitees are, Kalyani (Actress), K K Sarma (Social Worker) and Kala Venkata Deekshitulu (President of Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha).
Sri Parasari Seva Samstha works towards welfare of women by providing pension for old women, sewing machines, wet grinders and catering equipment, sponsors mangalasuthras for marriages of poor women, pays salaries of teachers in Remedial Coaching Centre at Ashoknagar (a school which provides education for poor children), gives away scholarships for needy students and many more.
