A 4-month long journey, 50 hours of flying time, 33 landings and a lot of adventure – this was what the Danish artist and pilot Simone Aaberg Kaern and her cameraman Magnus Bejmar had to survive in order to help an Afghan girl fulfil the dream of her life – flying. Today, the last day, catch this 80-minute German/Danish film, 50 Hours To Kabul (50 Stunden bis Kabul) by Simone Aaberg Kaern/Magnus Bejmar, the second film to be screened.
ARTE was created in 1992 as a joint Franco-German venture, and set itself the goal of producing high-quality programs on art and culture. As cultural exchange is given top priority and is consciously promoted by ARTE, the focus is on the cooperation between ARTE and public broadcasting stations across Europe. The programs are scheduled to be broadcast in several languages, and viewed throughout Europe.
